Students will work with a licensed attorney to represent a child who has been denied renewal of services under the Medically Dependent Children Program (MDCP). MDCP is a Medicaid waiver program designed to provide services to help support caregivers in the community and prevent unnecessary institutionalization of medically dependent children. Students will meet with the child’s guardian, review their medical records and past assessments, create a hearing packet, and potentially have the opportunity to represent the child in a fair hearing.
