Students will work with a licensed attorney to draft the stories of children who were denied eligibility renewals and lost their appeals for reversal under the Medically Dependent Children Program (MDCP). MDCP is a Medicaid waiver program designed to provide services to help support caregivers in the community and prevent unnecessary institutionalization of medically dependent children. Students will meet with the children’s guardians, review their medical records and past assessments, and compile the information into narratives that will be used for an administrative complaint.
