Students will review dress and grooming codes from school districts across Texas and help identify school dress and grooming policies that affect students based on gender, race, religion, and/or LGBTQIA+ identity. The review is part of an effort by the ACLU and its partners to compile a comprehensive survey of dress and grooming code discrimination in Texas schools, and follows a 2020 survey that focused on discriminatory hair grooming policies.
