Students will work with lawyers in the Hill Country Regional Public Defender’s Office for a week over winter break. Students will assist HCRPDO attorneys with legal research, interviewing clients, and gathering evidence for state criminal cases.

HCRPDO is a new public defender office funded in part by the Texas Indigent Defense Commission. HCRPDO serves Bandera, Gillespie, Kendall, Kerr, and Medina counties and represents individuals charged with all levels of felonies and misdemeanors.
