Students will work with Texas Advocacy Project lawyers for a week over winter break. Students will conduct legal research, help investigate how the state’s protective order laws are being implemented in each of Texas’s 254 counties, and assist pro se protective order applicants in drafting pleadings and correspondence. Students also may help staff attorneys with hearing preparation and/or discovery.
