One student will work with Texas Appleseed lawyers for a week over winter break. The student will research and produce a memo examining whether government facilitation of gentrification, which will predictably result in the resegregation of a majority BIPOC neighborhood into a majority-white neighborhood, supports an actionable claim under the Fair Housing Act.
