Students will help survivors of human trafficking who are part of MiCreate’s business coaching program translate their business ideas into businesses, by conducting legal research on licenses and certifications required for various industries and by providing transactional drafting of contracts for individuals, partnerships, and collaborations for various industries. Students will also provide some community education and outreach as it pertains to anti-human trafficking policies and data. Since MiCreate's clients are currently concentrated in Texas, the focus of most research will be on Texas regulations and ordinances of Texan counties. Students interested in expanding to other states or countries should express their desire to do so, as MiCreate engages with survivor clients nationally and internationally. Students will work under the supervision of MiCreate’s Founder and President.
