Public Interest Summer Jobs- What Are My Options?

PILA is hosting a public interest summer job panel for 1Ls and 2Ls for students to share their experiences of the day-to-day work in different public interest jobs. We are going to have 4 speakers discuss their experiences in their summer public interest jobs:

· Kelsey Snapp worked at the National Office of Appleseed in Austin Texas doing policy advocacy

· Kathryn Olson worked at the Texas ACLU in Austin doing impact litigation work

· Alec Swafford worked at the Orleans Public Defenders Office in New Orleans doing indigent criminal defense

· Kimberly Ashworth worked at the Cook County State Attorney’s Office Juvenile Division doing criminal prosecution work

Please join us to hear about their experiences and ask questions. We will be serving pizza.

The lunch will take place TOMORROW, Wednesday, November 3, at 11:30am in the Jury Room (next door to the Eidman Courtroom)

Spring 2011 Registration & Adds/Drops For Continuing & Readmitted Students

The registration system (ROSE) opened on Monday, October 25, at 8 a.m. and will continue to open daily (during specific times) through Friday, November 5. If you participated in early registration, you may make any changes to your Spring 2011 schedule via adds/drops during this registration period. If you did not participate in early registration (or lost your awarded courses due to a bar), you may register during this period.
