All students (including late-filers) who recently submitted their TX "Declaration of Intention to Study Law" are eligible to have their fingerprints taken on location at the University of Texas School of Law. Space is limited and pre-registration required.

Gabriel Gervey and Kim Van Winkle of the Texas Attorney General’s Officewill discuss internship opportunities available in the spring. Four of these internships will be available for academic credit. Prof. Dan Rodriguez will discuss the gay marriage litigation of the last decade and provide a preview of potential outcomes of the pending Proposition 8 case from California. Sponsored by American Constitution Society.

PILA is hosting a public interest summer job panel for 1Ls and 2Ls for students to share their experiences of the day-to-day work in different public interest jobs. We are going to have 4 speakers discuss their experiences in their summer public interest jobs:

· Kelsey Snapp worked at the National Office of Appleseed in Austin Texas doing policy advocacy

· Kathryn Olson worked at the Texas ACLU in Austin doing impact litigation work

· Alec Swafford worked at the Orleans Public Defenders Office in New Orleans doing indigent criminal defense

· Kimberly Ashworth worked at the Cook County State Attorney’s Office Juvenile Division doing criminal prosecution work

Please join us to hear about their experiences and ask questions. We will be serving pizza.

If you participated in early registration, you may make any changes to your Spring 2011 schedule via adds/drops during this registration period. If you did not participate in early registration (or lost your awarded courses due to a bar), you may register during this period.
