The Thurgood Marshall Legal Society is holding it's second general body meeting of the year in Room 3.142 at 5:30 p.m. We will be discussing important upcoming TMLS events and dinner will be served!

The Career Services Office invites UT Law students and faculty to visit with both Dean Sager and employers who will be participating in Public Service Table Talk. Breakfast will be held from 8:30-9:30 a.m. in the Sheffield Room. Public Service Table Talk will be held in the Susman Godfrey Atrium from 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. and is open to all UT Law students.

Representatives from dozens of public interest organizations as well as federal and state government agencies will be on hand to answer questions about what they do and how you can assist them. Find out about volunteer opportunities, summer internships and paid positions with a variety of nonprofits, legal services providers and government agencies. All UT Law students are encouraged to attend.

Beyond Any Bar, the law student association for students considering a nontraditional careers, is hosting a speaker panel to discuss their path to a successful nontraditional career. SHAKESPEARE AND THE LAW: SCENES AND A PANEL ON LEGAL ISSUES FROM THE TEMPEST

Actors from Spirit of Shakespeare, a University of Texas student organization, will perform scenes from The Tempest as part of a panel discussion titled “Usurpation and Colonization: Shakespeare’s The Tempest,” on Thursday, September 22, 2011, in the Eidman Courtroom at the University of Texas School of Law from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
