    Reminder for 3Ls planning to sit for the Texas July 2013 Bar Exam: in order for your In-State Application to Take the TX Bar Exam to be considered timely-filed it must be postmarked by Jan. 30. This deadline is strictly enforced. A $150 late fee will apply for all applications filed after Jan. 30 and up to the Mar. 30 absolute postmark deadline.

    Applicants who have not yet filed their Declaration of Intention to Study Law must do so prior to or with their In-State Application.

    Andrés Jana is the partner in charge of the International Arbitration Group at Bofill Mir & Alvarez, Santiago, Chile. He is the Chilean delegate before the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law, UNCITRAL and is a member of the Working Group on Arbitration Involving States or State Entities of the ICC’s Arbitration Committee.     Meeting: Health Law & Bioethics Society

    The Health Law & Bioethics Society will be holding its first meeting of the semester on Tuesday, February 5th at noon in TNH 3.114.

    This semester we will host and event which will be a discussion by two leading experts from the Center for Public Policy Priorities and the Texas Public Policy Foundation about the direction the State is taking in light of the Supreme Court’s Affordable Care Act decision. Tentatively, this event will be held on March 18th, the first class day after Spring Break.

    Near the end of the semester, we will hold elections for the HL&BS Board for the 2013-2014 academic year.
