Steven Schulman, Partner at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP (Washington, DC), will discuss law firm pro bono programs and the importance of pro bono service in your legal career. Information on Akin Gump’s Pro Bono Scholars Program will also be provided. Akin Gump’s Pro Bono Scholars program is now available in Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, New York, and Washington, DC. Upon commencement of work at the public interest organization, Pro Bono Scholars will receive a stipend of $20,000, and are paid the standard summer associate salary while at the firm.
