Dell Legal Diversity Scholarship Meet & Greet

CCJ 2.300 (Jamail Pavilion)

Stop by Jamail Pavilion and join members of the Dell Legal Team for lunch and conversation.

Attorneys with expertise in commercial and corporate law, intellectual property, and litigation will be on hand to discuss opportunities and challenges in the corporate environment, in-house legal work, and general advice for young and soon-to-be lawyers.

Dell Legal will also be on hand to promote the 2nd Annual Dell Diversity Scholarship, awarded to two Texas Law minority students and/or students of color. Current 1L and 2L students are eligible to apply for the scholarship which awards $5,000 to the each recipient and provides opportunities for mentorship from a Dell attorney and a visit to the Dell campus.

Medicaid Evidence Workshop

TNH 2.111 (Sheffield-Massey Room)

Students will help Medicaid recipients obtain medically-necessary treatment through the fair hearing administrative process. The project involves two workshops, and student volunteers must attend both workshops. In the first workshop, students will review evidence packets and interview clients and/or their families, then prepare an evidence index for their reviewed case. In the second workshop, students will draft letters of medical necessity. Disability Rights Texas attorneys and pro bono attorney volunteers will be on-hand to provide supervision and live advice and feedback on drafting.
