    Bush v. Gore @ 20

Now, twenty years later, another potentially contested election result looms on the horizon. Join the Texas Federalist Society as we host a discussion analyzing the Bush v. Gore decision and how, if at all, it informs relevant election law questions today. The event will take place on Monday, November 2 at 12 pm, featuring Professor Mimi Marziani (University of Texas Law), Professor Michael Morley (Florida State Law), and Jason Glahn (Senior Legislative Analyst, Missouri Legislature).

The first 50 Texas Law students to register will receive a $10 redemption code for DoorDash to enjoy a meal during the event.

    Ex Parke

In lieu of our usual Bar Review, SBA will be hosting a weekly Ex Parke this semester on Thursday evenings! This is a great opportunity to meet students from other 1L sections as well as other class years. Each week we will visit a park for an outdoor, socially-distanced hangout. There will be blankets spread out so students can meet up in groups of no more than 10. We kindly ask that you arrive close to the assigned time for your class year in the schedule below. You are welcome to stay longer than 30 minutes, but this schedule should help keep us from having too many people showing up at once. Although we will be off-campus, City of Austin and Zilker Park rules still apply. This requires wearing a mask, maintaining 6 feet of distance from others, congregating in groups of no more than 10, and no alcoholic beverages. Masks are required at all times unless you are snacking in an area we will designate. Where: Zilker Park near the "Rock Island" (2207 Lou Neff Rd, Austin, TX 78746) When: Thursday, September 10th 6:00pm 1Ls (Sections 1–3) 6:30pm 1Ls (Sections 4–6) 7:00pm 2Ls 7:30pm 3Ls
