Many people think that Big Law effectively limits its work to serving the most powerful corporations in the world who may, in one form or another, contribute to poverty, harm to the environment, and political disenfranchisement. But many Big Law attorneys have changed the legal landscape for public interest legal issues. This panel will illustrate important cases that Big Law attorneys participate in and lead for public interest. It will also show how certain Big Law firms create a culture and system that promotes pro bono work. This panel will include three to four attorneys from Big Law firms around Texas who have done, and continue to do, important pro bono work, and even create a paradigm for how some of our budding law students would want to navigate the Big Law litigation world.
