Join Law Students for Life for a discussion with Dr. Joe Pojman, President of Texans for Life Coalition, on the impact of pro-life laws in Texas. Dr. Pojman has spent decades working with legislators and advocates to develop pro-life policy at the Texas Capitol. He will discuss how recent laws were crafted and whether they are working in practice, followed by Q&A. Lunch provided.

Texas Federalist Society is hosting a presentation on the continued significance of the Declaration of Independence, 250 years after its signing. We will host Judge Don Willett of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit for this event. Chick-fil-a will be provided to attendees!

Since the Supreme Court overruled Roe v. Wade in 2022, states have taken sharply different approaches to abortion. Some restrict access, while others expand it, raising questions about enforcement across state lines. Join Heather Hacker, Partner at Hacker Stephens LLP and former Texas Assistant Solicitor General, for a discussion of current laws, their effectiveness, and what they signal for the future.
