    Public Interest Postgraduate Fellowships

    Learn about some of the more popular project-based fellowships obtained by UT Law graduates. You’ll learn about the application process and strategies for putting together a competitive fellowship application. Panelists include Mark Dawson, 3L, and 2014 UT Law Justice Corps Fellow; Cat McCulloch, 3L, and current UT Law Justice Corps Fellow applicant; Gonzalo Serrano, 3L and current Equal Justice Works Fellowship applicant; Abby Anna Batko-Taylor, ’13, Julius Glickman Public Interest Law Fellow with Volunteer Legal Services of Central Texas; Meredith Shytles, ’11, Staff Attorney with Disability Rights Texas and former Skadden Foundation Fellow; Megan Sheffield, ’13, UT Law Faculty/Julius Glickman Fellow with Casa Marianella Immigration Legal Services and current Equal Justice Works Fellowship applicant; and Professor Mary Crouter, Assistant Director, William Wayne Justice Center for Public Interest Law.     How to Succeed in Your Summer Clerkship

    In the first hour, Niki Moore and Tomimi Glover, Co-Founders of 3L+ Law Prep, will show you how to step ahead of the curve and be a better summer associate. At 12:45 p.m., Joe Noel, Reference Librarian and Lecturer with the Tarlton Law Library will talk about legal research strategies for summer clerkship assignments. He’ll discuss how to familiarize yourself with your firm's research environment, what questions to ask when you receive an assignment, and best practices for deciding where to start your research.

Hosted by the UT Law Career Services Office and International Student Programs, this mixer is a great way to expand your network and meet local LL.M. alumni, so don't miss out!

    The UT Law LL.M. Alumni-Student Mixer will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2014 from 5:30-7:00 p.m. at Scholz Garten, 1607 San Jacinto Blvd. in Austin (map).

    Scholz Garten is one mile from the Law School, which is about a 15-20 minute walk (see map above).

    The Texas Business Law Society and Norton Rose Fulbright are pleased to present the First Annual Mergers & Acquisitions School for UT Law students.
