Learn strategies to manage your educational debt, including the Texas Law and federal loan repayment and forgiveness programs for lawyers pursuing jobs in the government and public interest sectors. Presented by Mary Crouter, Assistant Director of the William Wayne Justice Center for Public Interest Law, and Nicole Simmons, Director of Public Service Programs with the Career Services Office. Refreshments will be served.

A panel of current and former clerks will share about their experience applying for and working in judicial clerkships. The Texas Law Judicial Clerkship Program team will also provide information on our program and how to begin applying for clerkships. The program is geared towards those looking for 2017-term clerkship, mostly 2Ls, but 3Ls are welcome as well. Lunch will be provided so RSVP on Symplicity by Friday, October 2.

Panelists will discuss their experiences as summer interns and staff attorneys with government and public interest organizations across the country. They will also share strategies and advice for obtaining similar positions. Panelists TBD. Moderated by Nicole Simmons and Denyse Demel of the CSO. Lunch will be served.

Lunch and peer group discussion about the job search process as well as strategies for getting through it productively and positively. CSO counselors will then join us during the end of the session if you have any questions for them.
