The Criminal Defense Clinic was easily the most valuable experience I had during law school. It was a perfect way to incorporate all of the theoretical skills I had learned in other classes into real world practice in cases where my work actually mattered. The supervisors are very helpful, and the Director, Chris Roberts, ensures that each student is adequately prepared for each aspect of defense work before they engage in a new task. The supervisors allow the students to have enough freedom to truly take ownership in each case. I cannot imagine anything being more valuable for anyone looking to do litigation work after law school and my only complaint about the Clinic is that I cannot take it for more than one semester.
