Working with the Texas Civil Rights Clinic was one of my most fulfilling experiences in law school. Participating in the clinic allowed me the chance to work closely with my incredibly talented classmates and local attorneys on two different civil rights claims, and it was the first time in law school that I truly began to understand how I could use the law to help those who could not help themselves.
The Civil Rights Clinic gave me the chance to work in the same capacity as an associate at a firm in that I had the opportunity to write memos, conduct discovery, and meet with clients. These experiences have helped me in my practice now, and ultimately made me a more thoughtful and better prepared young lawyer.
