Today, 119 organizations and 122 scholars and academics wrote a letter to committees and subcommittees of the U.S. House of Representatives, urging action to end the Department of Homeland Security’s “Remain in Mexico” program. The letter outlines the program’s many harms to asylum-seekers and violations of U.S. law and international obligations of non-refoulement.
