  • By participating in the Entrepreneurship and Community Development Clinic I had the opportunity to help a small, non-profit startup work with a large, multinational corporation on a business venture. Not only was the entire experience personally and professionally rewarding, but also I had the chance to use my legal knowledge to further a worthy cause. […]
  • The Entrepreneurship and Community Development Clinic provided an unmatched opportunity to learn how to be a lawyer. The clinic professors are well-respected leaders and experts in housing, community development, and transactional law. From the close interaction with clients to the breadth of substantive legal matters, the clinic allowed me to experience real lawyering while also […]
  • Participating in the Capital Punishment Clinic was a life-altering experience.  It changed my perspective about our criminal justice system and the role of an attorney as a client advocate.  Professor Marcus and the other members of the Clinic are not only fantastic attorneys who are passionate about their work; they are dedicated to helping students […]

The clinic is one of the best experiences I had at UT Law. Quite frankly, there is nothing else like it. As part of the clinic team that worked on Jesinoski v. Countrywide, I got to draft sections of briefs, help with oral argument preparations, and even attend oral argument at the Supreme Court.
  • The Supreme Court Clinic was one of the highlights of my education at Texas Law. And now as a Supreme Court advocate myself, I still use all sorts of lessons I learned from the Clinic.

The supervisors are very helpful, and the Director, Chris Roberts, ensures […]
  • The Environmental Clinic was also a great opportunity to practice the foundational teachings of law school, solidify my slim knowledge of certain environmental law issues, gain new insights into the subject, and develop a better understanding of what I want to do after school.
  • The Children’s Rights Clinic has been the most rewarding experience of my law school career. Obviously, the clinic provides great educational supports and opportunities to learn practical litigation skills, just like every other clinic. However, there is something professionally and emotionally satisfying about participating in a clinic where you get to meet with and develop […]
  • Being a student attorney in the Children’s Rights Clinic is the most rewarding experience I have had at UT Law. Every day we are able to work with children who need our help and are guided by the most amazing supervising attorneys. I am confident that through my work with the Children’s Rights Clinic, I […]
  • Along with being the most rewarding activity I did in law school, the Children’s Rights Clinic is hands down the most substantive activity as well. Leslie and Lori (along with Judge) allow you the independence to learn on your feet, while still providing the security of their knowledge and support along the way. This was […]
