Recording of classes is generally prohibited without explicit permission of the professor. Such recordings, when permitted, are for personal use only and may not be uploaded to the internet or otherwise shared, transmitted, or published without the prior consent of the professor. Recording of class without permission is a violation of the Law School Honor Code.
When it is feasible and appropriate, the Student Affairs Office will arrange for recording of classes to accommodate disabilities under the Americans with Disabilities Act or to accommodate religious holidays. Such recordings are available only for a limited period of time after the date of the recording and may not be uploaded to the internet or otherwise shared, transmitted, or published. Some faculty may not permit recordings of their classes. In those cases, the SAO will arrange an alternative reasonable accommodation.

The Student Affairs Office does not record classes for student absences. Students who will be absent should request notes from a classmate or may, with permission of the instructor, have a classmate record the class.
