Medicaid Evidence Workshop

TNH 2.111 (Sheffield-Massey Room)

Students will help Medicaid recipients obtain medically-necessary treatment through the fair hearing administrative process. The project involves two workshops, and student volunteers must attend both workshops. In the first workshop, students will review evidence packets and interview clients and/or their families, then prepare an evidence index for their reviewed case. In the second workshop, students will draft letters of medical necessity. Disability Rights Texas attorneys and pro bono attorney volunteers will be on-hand to provide supervision and live advice and feedback on drafting.
