Symposium

This year's symposium will address the ways U.S. and Texas allocate water resources and provide for clean water. How do different states' laws interact with each other? With federal laws? Are the current laws governing water allocation and cleanliness sufficient? If not, how should they evolve, and what information should be driving that evolution? The symposium will explore both theory and practice, focusing on areas of law that directly impact our everyday life: agriculture and irrigation, municipal water treatment, and recreational waterway use. The symposium will have an introductory speaker, three topical panels, and an ethics panel.
