Summer Interview Program

As our largest interview program at Texas Law, the Summer Interview Program welcomes employers to recruit rising 2Ls, 3Ls, domestic and foreign-trained LL.M.s, and recent graduates (up to one year after graduation) for summer clerkships or postgraduate positions.

Prior to bidding, we encourage you to submit your resume and cover letter for review by a career counselor by sending your materials in MS Word format on or before June 12, 2024 to cso-resumes@law.utexas.edu.

If you choose to participate in the Summer Interview Program, it is important to keep in mind that this program is just one avenue for conducting your job search as many participating employers tend to have fairly established hiring criteria.

Student Application Period opens Friday, May 31 at noon (CT).
Student Application Period closes Wednesday, June 19 at 8:00 a.m. (CT).
Withdraw/Swap Period opens Tuesday, July 2 at 4:00 p.m. (CT).
Withdraw/Swap Period closes Monday, July 22 at 8:00 a.m. (CT).
Interview schedules available Monday, July 22.
Summer Interview Program will be held Monday, July 29 – Friday, August 2 from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (CT).

You may apply and update your materials at any time during the application period. Please make sure that you finalize your selections, including rankings, before the bidding period closes.

First, log into TEX – powered by 12Twenty:
- Go directly to the sign up page (https://law-utexas.12twenty.com/SignUp/Student) then select “UT EID Sign Up” to get started.  Log in using your UT EID and password.
- If you have trouble logging in with your UT EID, go to the login page (https://law-utexas.12twenty.com/SignUp/Student), select [Student/Alumni Sign Up ], and use the same email address you would use to log into your Symplicity account.  
Once you have successfully signed in, go to the [Jobs & Interview Programs] tab on the left.
Click the [ Interview Programs ] tab on the top, click [Add Filter], and sort for the [OCI Round] labeled [Summer Interview Program 2024].
To view more information for an employer, click the job listing.
To apply to an employer, click the job listing and then the [ Apply ] button to add your documents. You must upload files in PDF format.
You may edit or withdraw your application by clicking back into the employer’s job listing and selecting the subsequent options.

If you need to cancel an interview, please submit your cancellation online.

Scheduled interviews for this program will be awarded by 30% employer selection and 70% lottery. By registering for this and other interview programs, you affirm that you have read and agree to our updated Nondiscrimination Policy. A resume collect option is available via our job bank.

Participation fees are due Tuesday, June 11 at noon (CT).

70 percent of all scheduled interviews will be awarded by lottery and 30 percent by your student selections.

Employer registration opens at 12:00 p.m. (CT) on Thursday, March 21, 2024 with early registration closing at 12:00 p.m. (CT) on Tuesday, April 23, 2024. Interviewing dates are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis. 

Step 1 | First, sign up for a TEX – Powered by 12Twenty account. Sign up for an account before registration opens.

Step 2 | When the registration period opens, submit your registration in the [Jobs & Interview Programs] tab for the [Summer Interview Program 2024] OCI Round (see instructions).

Step 3 | Once you have completed step 2, you will be prompted to submit the details of your Summer Interview Program job listing.
