Texas Talks: Private Sector

Texas Talks: Private Sector is an annual table-networking opportunity held at the Law School. During this popular and well-attended event, students will have a chance to connect with employers to learn more about their organizations and the practice of law.

Prior to Registering

By registering for this event and any other programs, you affirm that you have read and agree to our updated Nondiscrimination Policy.
REGISTRATION UPDATE (8/12): Availability for Texas Talks and the Mock Interview Program is now FULL. If you would like to be placed on the waitlist for either or both events, you may still submit a registration request.
UPDATE FOR APPROVED PARTICIPANTS (9/21): You should have received an email on August 18 with your approved event date. Formal confirmations detailing next steps will be emailed in the comings days for those who have been approved to participate. In the meantime, please familiarize yourself with the informational sections below detailing what to expect, what to bring, package-handling, and parking directions. Our office will request your participant list and meal selections closer to the event.

- Space for this event is limited to 30 tables per day; therefore, each employer is limited to 1 table (firmwide).
- The cost to host a table at this event is $500 per employer.

Your Table | Each employer will be assigned to 1 table (6-ft L x 2.5-ft W), which includes a tablecloth and 2 chairs.
- A table can comfortably accommodate 4 attendees; therefore, a maximum of 4 firmwide representatives (split amongst attorneys and recruiters) are allowed.
- You may bring any marketing and promotional materials that fit on the table, including your own table covering.
- Due to space constraints, please refrain from bringing pop-up banners.
Upon Arrival | Check-in starts at 10:30 a.m. (CT) in the Susman Godfrey Atrium (TNH 2.100). You may begin setting up your table at that time.
- Lunch will be served at 11:00 a.m. (CT) for participating employers who place an order through our office.
- Access our complimentary Wi-Fi network (utguest). No password required.

Limited Parking Available
Campus parking is extremely limited; therefore, we strongly encourage rideshares or carpools as we cannot guarantee availability.

Getting Dropped Off | If you plan to use a rideshare, the best place to be dropped off is on the south side of the Law School along Trinity St. (one-way street accessible via Robert Dedman Dr).
Parking On Campus | The parking garages closest to the Law School are the San Jacinto Garage (SJG), marked in blue on map, and the Manor Garage (MAG). Note: The walk from Manor Garage to the Law School takes ~15 to 20 minutes.

Package Delivery | You may send swag items and/or marketing materials to our office ahead of the event. The package(s) will be placed on your table prior to the event.
Return Shipping | A prepaid, prefilled FedEx or UPS return label is required if you would like for our office to ship your items back to you. Please place the label inside the package for us to collect and use.
Delivery Deadline | To ensure your packages are available for the event, please have them delivered to the Law School by Friday, October 16, 2026 at the latest.
