CSO Reciprocity Policy

The University of Texas School of Law Career Services Office offers reasonable access to CSO resources to students and alumni of ABA-accredited law schools that accord similar reciprocal services to Texas Law students and alumni.

The Texas Law CSO will allow access to online job listings to third-year law students or graduates for a period of six weeks, during which time students/alumni will be given temporary viewing rights to the Texas Law School’s Job Bank. Access to the Job Bank is only given to approved students/alumni and access will be terminated after the six-week period has ended.

In the case of schools that only permit reciprocity on a one-to-one basis, we will limit the number of referrals in the same manner.

If you would like to establish reciprocity with The University of Texas School of Law, contact the career services office of your law school and request a letter be sent by email to the CSO at cso@law.utexas.edu.

  • Reciprocity, if granted, will be for a six-week period from the date of approval.
  • Reciprocity includes remote viewing rights to our online Job Bank; it does not include the ability to apply to jobs through our Job Bank.
  • Reciprocity does not include in-person use of our facilities, individual career counseling, resume or cover letter review, or access to password-protected online resources on the CSO website.

The Career Services Office reserves the right to adjust stated policy with or without notice and may revoke privileges extended to individuals who abuse the services or staff.
