The Housing Clinic is an incredible opportunity to practice law, but more importantly, it is a chance to help people in a meaningful way. I was able to speak to clients directly, draft documents, negotiate on their behalf, and represent them in court. Even though I did not want to practice litigation, the experience of representing a client in court gave me another view of the law and helped me become a well-rounded, soon-to-be attorney. After we won the hearing, the joy and relief on my client’s face was a priceless experience I will never forget. Fred Fuchs is an amazing mentor and one of the most ethical lawyers I have ever met.
