    Explore federal loan repayment and loan forgiveness programs and the UT Law LRAP in greater depth in a small group setting.  Preference given to 3Ls entering the public service sector.  To be eligible to attend, participants must have attended “Debt Management for Careers on Public Interest Law and Government” on February 23 or a similar presentation and must submit an application with questions about the programs.     Early Bar Prep continues with Evidence. Don't remember when you can use character evidence? What makes a witness incompetent? Especially helpful if you haven't taken Evidence, this session will introduce you to / remind you of some main topics in the area.

    At the beginning of this session (and each subsequent session), we'll review the practice MBE questions handed out the week before. Hear why answers are right/wrong to sometimes tricky MBE questions.

    After the session, you may log on to an MBE question bank to test your understanding - come find out how to get access and what you should be doing now to help guarantee your future bar success!

    TRESL's Second Annual Symposium

    "The Role of Agents in Entertainment & Sports"

    On March, 24, 2011, TRESL will be holding its second annual symposium titled "The Role of Agents in Entertainment & Sports." The symposium will focus on the role that agents play in the professional lives of athletes and celebrities, and the ethical dilemmas they face.

    Succeeding at the Business of Law

    Whether you are thinking about starting your own practice or planning to work for a firm, come learn the business and practical aspects of succeeding in the new legal market. Attorneys will discuss the nuts and bolts of starting a practice; the technology lawyers need; getting clients, networking, and marketing your practice; law firm economics; and organizing and managing your practice. Additionally, they will talk about their specific practices in civil litigation, family law, criminal law, and business transactions. Panelists include Janet McCullar, Law Office of Janet McCullar; Douglas A. Booth, '92, Law Offices of Douglas A. Booth, P.C.; and Kiele Pace, ’00, The Pace Law Firm, P.C.     Students, alumni, faculty, staff, and practitioners are welcome to attend the 40th Anniversary Banquet of the Chicano/Hispanic Law Students' Association at UT Law. Help us celebrate the progress we have made in becoming one of the oldest, largest, and most established Hispanic student organizations in the country.
