Public Service Career Fair

Hosted annually by Texas Law, the Public Service Career Fair (PSCF) is the largest public service interview program for law students in Texas.

PSCF offers both public interest and government employers the opportunity to conduct interviews for paid and unpaid summer and/or term-time internships, as well as postgraduate positions. 1Ls, 2Ls, 3Ls, domestic and foreign-trained LL.M.s, and recent graduates (up to one year after graduation) from all Texas law schools are eligible to participate in this program.

In addition, employers and students may informally connect at the Public Service Table Talk to learn more about working for the public good.

This informational table-networking event offers students and recent graduates an opportunity to informally meet with government agencies and public interest organizations to learn about the employers and available internship and job opportunities. Employers may participate in Table Talk either in addition to or in lieu of conducting on-campus or virtual interviews.

Join Justin Zieman from AccessLex Institute on Thursday, February 6, 2025, for a virtual presentation between 12:00-1:00 p.m., which will cover public service student loan updates and expert tips for financial planning for public service lawyers. Afterwards, there will be a brief Q&A session.

Public Service practitioners and students are invited to an informal happy hour event at the conclusion of the Fair. This event is co-sponsored by the William Wayne Justice Center.

: Employers understand that you may not have received grades yet. If you are a 2L or 3L, upload your most current transcript. If you are 1L and your grades have not been released yet, you may create an MS Word document stating that grades have not been released and that you will provide a transcript at the interview or upon request. Convert the Word document to a .pdf and save it as your “transcript”. You may then update your applications should grades be released prior to the application deadline.

While the timing of your submissions within the application period does not affect your interview chances, we encourage you not to wait until the last minute. You may apply and update your materials at any time during the application period, but make sure that you finalize your submissions and interview availability before 8:00 a.m. on Monday, January 13, 2025.

First, log into TEX – Powered by 12Twenty.
Once you have successfully signed in, go to the [Jobs & Interview Programs] tab on the left and click [Search].
Go to the [ Interview Programs ] tab on the top, click [Add Filter], and sort for the [OCI Round] labeled [Public Service Career Fair 2025].
To view more information for an employer, click the job listing.
To apply to an employer, click the job listing and then the [ Apply ] button to add your documents. You must upload files in PDF format.
You may edit or withdraw your application by clicking back into the employer’s job listing and selecting the subsequent options.

: You may cancel an interview during the Student Withdraw/Swap Period. To cancel an interview after this period has closed, please submit your cancellation online. You must abide by the cancellation policy of your respective school.

Parking is available in the San Jacinto Garage  and the Manor Garage. Space is limited -rideshares and carpools are encouraged!
