Employers understand that you may not have received grades yet. If you are a 2L or 3L, upload your most current transcript. If you are 1L and your grades have not been released yet, you may create an MS Word document stating that grades have not been released and that you will provide a transcript at the interview or upon request. Convert the Word document to a .pdf and save it as your “transcript”. You may then update your applications should grades be released prior to the bidding deadline.
-
Each employer sets its request for application materials, which may include transcripts (law school, as well as undergraduate), a cover letter, a writing sample, and/or other documents. Additional requested application materials are noted in the [ Bid/ Application Details ] section when you click the [ Review ] button for each employer. You will not be allowed to apply unless all requested materials are submitted.
- Please convert your Word documents to PDF before uploading them on Texas Consortium Symplicity Module as this will eliminate any conversion errors. Be sure to check all PDFs before submitting a file to employers.
- You must first upload a resume and any other requested documents before applying to employers by clicking on your initials in the top-right corner, selecting [ My Documents ], and following the outlined steps.
-
You may apply and update your materials at any time during the bidding period. Please make sure that you finalize your selections, including rankings, before the bidding period closes.
- While the timing of your selections within the bidding period does not affect your interview chances, we encourage you not to wait until the last minute. You may apply and update your materials at any time during the bidding period, but make sure that you finalize your selections before 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, January 11, 2024.
- Log on to the Texas Law Consortium Symplicity platform.
- Select the [ OCI ] box.
- Select the [ Employers/Applications ] tab at the top. The resulting list of employers contains only those that have requested your class year.
- Click the [ Review ] button from the list of employers to review required application materials and hiring criteria information.
- To apply, click the [ Review ] button for each employer of interest and add the requested documents listed under the [ Bid/Application Details ] section. Pay close attention to this section as any documents listed are required for this specific employer. For example, if “cover letter” is in this box, and “none found” is to the right, you must return to [ My Documents ] and upload a cover letter.
- Note that [ Default Resume ] will be included with each bid. To submit a different resume (or any other required documents) from those uploaded in your [ My Documents ] section, select the appropriate document from the resume drop-down in the [ Bid/Application Details ] section.
- Be sure to check all PDFs before submitting a file to employers. You may upload up to 60 documents at a time.
-
You may cancel an interview during the self-scheduling period. To cancel an interview after the self-scheduling period has closed, please submit your cancellation online. You must abide by the cancellation policy of your respective school.
-
If you need to cancel an interview, please submit your cancellation online.
