Constitutional Studies

The Constitutional Studies Program hosts a series of scholarly programs designed to highlight new scholarship in all areas of constitutionalism. All are welcome to virtual sessions. In-person sessions are reserved for members of the community at the University of Texas at Austin.

Subject: This Conference is designed specifically for graduate students currently writing on subjects involving constitutional change, including formal and informal amendment, constitutional mutation, constitutional dismemberment, constitutional reform, constitutional replacement, and related subjects.

Program: Graduate students are invited to present a work-in-progress in this Conference. The Conference will also feature instructional sessions on subjects related to constitutional change. Presentations and instructional sessions will be supplemented by a seminar on "How to Write a Book Proposal." This seminar will be of particular interest to graduate students interested in publishing opportunities with the Hart Series in Constitutionalism in Latin America and Caribbean, Oxford Series in Comparative Constitutionalism, and the Routledge Series in Comparative Constitutional Change. ​
