This is the first of a series of meetings for 2Ls and 3Ls who will be applying for 2015-term clerkships. This meeting is geared towards students who will be applying for the most competitive appellate court clerkships, and will focus on preparation for a January/February application period. UT Law Judicial Clerkship Advisors will discuss how to determine what courts you are competitive for, how to select judges, and how and when to apply for clerkships. Learn how to effectively tailor your resume for various legal jobs in the private and public sector. Please bring your laptop and draft legal style resume to the workshop. Examples of resumes are provided in the CSO Career Development Handbook that you will receive during the 1L Orientation and Career Development Workshops. All 1Ls must submit a copy of your resume to the CSO at least 24 hours prior to your first career counseling appointment, which will take place after October 15.

Tom Bohl is an assistant attorney general at the Texas Attorney General’s Office, where he has worked for 21 years, defending state environmental appeals in district and appellate courts, prosecuting civil suits to enforce environmental and public health laws, and representing the state in interstate water matters.
