The Prosecution Internship has been, by far, the most valuable course I’ve taken in law school. It teaches criminal law from a real world, hands-on perspective. The weekly classroom presentations reinforce skills that are used by interns on a daily basis, and the trial strategies taught can be viewed in the courtroom on a daily basis. Beyond the excellent educational value of the course, the familial atmosphere between interns and prosecutors simply isn’t available at most other internships. I would recommend this internship to all law students, even those not planning to specialize in criminal law. The trial skills taught and opportunity to witness them in action would be invaluable to anyone planning to set foot in a courtroom during or after law school.
