The Fall Auction annually kicks off Texas Law Fellowships’ year-long fundraising efforts. In 2009, the Auction raised approximately $13,000 to fund fellowships for students who worked in public interest internships during the summer of 2010. Items for sale in the Auction are donated by area businesses, as well as by faculty and staff of the School of Law.

Texas Law Fellowships is a student-run nonprofit organization that raises money from the UT Law and Texas legal communities to fund fellowships for UT Law students who work in public interest internships during the summer. Students applying for fellowships submit descriptions of their proposed public interest internships; these are voted upon by all donors during TLF’s spring pledge drive. The majority of donations are made by UT Law students, faculty, and staff, as well as local and national law firms.
