The Mithoff Program and the Texas Law Immigration Clinic are sponsoring an immigration service trip to the Texas-Mexico border during spring break 2023.
From March 12-14, 2023, Immigration Clinic faculty and 6 Texas Law students will travel to Laredo and San Antonio to deliver immigration legal services and meet with legal aid providers and community organizations.
This opportunity is open to all students. Spanish language proficiency and previous immigration-related experience are preferred but not required. Student travel expenses including air or ground transport, lodging, local transportation, and food will be covered by the Mithoff Program.
In order to apply, students must complete a brief application questionnaire and upload a personal statement of 500 words or less outlining their interest the trip and any relevant experience.
Applications are due on Monday, January 9, 2023.
The Mithoff Program will inform applicants of decisions by mid-January.
