Harm Reduction Know Your Rights Training with Texas Law Civil Rights Clinic

Students will be creating and presenting a Know Your Rights training to the El Paso Harm Reduction Alliance. The presentation will educate El Paso Harm Reduction Alliance members and collaborators on new Texas laws relating to fentanyl poisoning deaths. We will be researching and addressing how these laws may impact administering Narcan in an overdose event. The presentation will be aimed at educating those who work with people who use drugs or are people who use drugs on their legal rights and risks. The project will culminate in the students presenting via Zoom the training they research and develop to the members, staff, and allies of the El Paso Harm Reduction Alliance.
