Free Clinic for the Arts with Texas Law Art Association (TLAA)

Students will assist volunteer attorneys in providing free legal advice on arts-related legal matters to low-income artists, musicians, and filmmakers. Topics discussed may include contracts, business formation, copyright, trademark, and issues regarding the display of art. Students will assist artists in completing intake paperwork and documenting the attorney’s consultation with the client. There may also be an opportunity for students to debrief after the client session with DLA Piper attorneys.
