Legal Observer Project with National Lawyers Guild

Students will receive training from National Lawyers Guild attorneys to serve as legal observers during protests and public demonstrations. Legal observers watch and document interactions between law enforcement officials and individuals participating in demonstrations.

The National Lawyers Guild was founded in 1937 as an association of progressive lawyers and jurists. The NLG is hosting the February 16 Legal Observer Training in conjunction with the GRITS conference.
