Medicaid Fair Hearings Project with Texas Law INCLUDE Project

Students will help attorneys from Disability Rights Texas prepare for fair hearings in Medicaid cases involving children with complex medical needs who have been denied Medicaid services. The project involves two workshops. In the first workshop, students will review evidence packets consisting of nursing notes, plans of care, medical records, and other relevant evidence, and create an evidence guide for each reviewed case. In the second workshop, students will draft physician letters, requests for reconsideration, and direct examination questions.
