Texas Law Pipeline to Law School – Lesson Planning

Law students will work with the High School Outreach Pipeline Program Scholars to draft practical, engaging lessons tailored to senior high school students. The Pipeline Program’s lesson plans deliver substantive legal knowledge and empower students to “know their rights.” Lessons will delivered at Eastside Early College High School in February, March, or April, or be reserved for the next academic year. Previous lesson plans have focused on topics including the right to a jury, landlord/tenant rights, and education rights. Students who volunteer to draft lesson plans may have the opportunity to deliver those lessons later in the spring semester.

Pipeline to Law School Program

The Pipeline to Law School Program at Texas Law is committed to improving opportunities for all students to pursue a legal education, particularly students who are first generation, low income, or members of groups underrepresented in the legal profession. The Pipeline Program, announced in May of 2021 and launching this year, will establish an array of programming, including opportunities for high school students.
