Students will translate client declarations, birth certificates, and letters of support for clients participating in a Texas RioGrande Legal Aid (TRLA) U Visa Clinic in the Rio Grande Valley. The documents will be incorporated into completed applications for U Visa status that TRLA will submit to US Citizenship and Immigration Services on behalf of its clients, who are survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. U Visas provide immigration relief to immigrant victims of crime who provide assistance to law enforcement and meet other requirements.
