Youth and Government State Conference with YMCA of Austin

Law student volunteers will serve as mock trial evaluators or moot court evaluators at the YMCA Youth and Government State Conference. This event aims to create an environment in which high school students can increase their political awareness and understanding while also learning social action through hands-on experience in government. Trial and appeals court evaluators will sit in 90-minute rounds involving high school mock trial or moot court teams. Evaluators will observe teams in each round and rank team and individual student performance in a variety of categories.
