Educational Equity Project
The Mithoff Program’s Educational Equity Project works to address the significant issue of educational barriers for low-income and minority students across Austin.
The Educational Equity Project launched the Mithoff Program’s pro bono Expunction Clinics; operates Youth Court at Webb Middle School; and assists students in school disciplinary, misdemeanor ticketing, and truancy hearings. All of these activities provide significant pro bono opportunities for Texas Law students.
Meg Clifford, ’12, founded and leads the Educational Equity Project. The Educational Equity Project was created in partnership with the University of Texas at Austin’s Division of Diversity and Community Engagement. The Educational Equity Project also is supported by a generous gift from the Janet Newberger Scholarship Fund of the Dallas Jewish Community Foundation.
