October 22–23
Mock Interview Program: Private Sector
October 22 (8:45 a.m. – 5:45 p.m.) | October 23 (8:30 a.m. – 5:15 p.m.)
Each Fall semester, the CSO hosts a Mock Interview Program (MIP) as an introduction to the private sector legal interviewing process for 1Ls. It also provides a unique opportunity for attorneys to meet our exceptional students through an interactive one-on-one setting. Depending on availability, 2L and 3Ls may also participate in this program.
Practice interviews and attorney feedback play a vital role in preparing our students by enhancing their technical readiness and building the confidence required for their initial legal interviews.
Each 30-minute timeslot is comprised of a 20-minute mock interview followed by a 10-minute review session to provide feedback directly to students.
-
Student response to this program in the past has been overwhelming as they appreciate practicing for the “real thing.” As an employer, you will find that participating in our program is a wonderful way to meet our students and help prepare them for real interviews.

- Student Bidding Process | 1Ls who would like to participate in this program must first submit a bid (resume only) via Flo Recruit to each employer of interest. Every submission is a chance to be chosen by the lottery award system for a mock interview with up to two employers from their bid list.
- 100% Lottery | Once the bidding period closes, the lottery system randomly select students for mock interviews awards. This system cannot award mock interviews to students for employers they did not place a bid with.
- Scheduling | A scheduling algorithm will assign the lottery-selected students to time slots with the employers they were awarded a mock interview with.
- Interview Packets | Finalized schedule times and student resumes will be available to you for reviews prior to your mock interview day.
- Update Your Employer Profiles | Please ensure your organization’s TEX and Flo Recruit profiles are current and up to date so that accurate information is shared with students as they research employers and prepare for mock interviews.
- 30-Minute Time Slots | Each time slot is comprised of a 20-minute mock interview followed by a 10-minute review session to provide feedback directly to students.
