I learned so much from Professors Steglich and Gilman during our time in the Immigration clinic and during the hearings for our client. I was very lucky to have had such a great student partner as well. I couldn’t have made it through everything without her partnership or our professor’s guidance.
Although we didn’t get the results we wanted, the advocacy experience we received was invaluable. Elissa Steglich worked so hard to help us prepare for all the hearings. At the last one, the court referred to the great reputation of the law school’s immigration clinic, so I’m very proud to have been a part of it during my time at Texas Law.
I continue to wish the best for our client. She has constantly amazed us with her perseverance and determination in the face of so many things going against her. I know she’s in great hands in the new clinic team.
