Class of 2021 Graduates with Unique Sunflower Ceremony

The Class of 2021 graduation from The University of Texas School of Law was a Sunflower Ceremony like no other. The graduation weekend took place May 21-22, 2021, recognizing over 300 graduates who arrived in small groups with their family and friends in 20 minute intervals. The events were live streamed and compiled into the video shown below.

Kristin Schulz Delivers Student Address

Kristin Schulz, Permanent Class President for the Class of 2021, delivered an uplifting message during this year’s Sunflower ceremony. She began her remarks with explaining the perseverance and generosity that has continuously been shown by this class. She applauded her fellow classmates for their adaptability during this strange year, and encouraged them to work on silencing their inner critics to believe in themselves. In addition to serving as Permanent Class President, Schulz served as the Vice President of Communications for the Student Bar Association and the Director of Finances for the Public Interest Law Association. She spent her summers with the Human Trafficking and Transnational Organized Crime Division of the Office of the Texas Attorney General and working with immigrant survivors of gender based violence and abuse. After graduation, Kristin will join the U.S. Department of Justice Honors Program, working in Miami, Florida with the Executive Office of Immigration Review.
