Texas Law Magazine has again been recognized as one of the nation’s premier education publications, winning 2026 Gold Medals for excellence from CASE, the Council for Advancement and Support of Education, and from the Society of Publication Designers. In addition, the magazine was, for the second consecutive year, a Finalist for CASE’s highest honor, the Robert Sibley Award, a prize it won in 2025.

Having relaunched in May 2024 and publishing five issues so far, Texas Law Magazine has claimed nine national honors, as well as regional recognition.
“Texas Law alumni are exceptional, so Texas Law Magazine needs to be exceptional, too,” says Liz Anderson Hilton ’90, editor-in-chief.
CASE judges were emphatic about the magazine’s merits.
Texas Law Magazine stands out “for its vibrant, artistic design, strong integration of text and imagery, and engaging storytelling,” according to CASE’s press release announcing the 2026 Awards.

“Our judges highlighted the thoughtful layouts, beautiful photography and illustrations, and the publication’s ability to balance rich visual variety without feeling overwhelming. The writing is consistently compelling across both short and long pieces, creating an immersive reading experience that felt polished, dynamic, and distinctive.”
The Society of Publication Designers recognized the art direction and design of the story “Ties That Bind,” from the Spring 2025 issue, with a Gold Medal for Best Story Design, and the story “Blockchain Frontier,” from the Fall 2025 issue, with a Silver Medal for Best Design for a Single Spread.
