Elton M. Hyder III, ’80, president and CEO of EMH Corporation of Fort Worth, Texas, was elected to the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas Board of Directors by its member banks on October 21, 2010. Hyder’s three-year term began January 1, 2011.
Hyder’s business interests include commercial real estate, natural gas, gas pipelines, water development, and farming. He has served on the boards of the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce, Downtown Fort Worth Inc., Texas Wesleyan University, and the International Tennis Hall of Fame.
Each Federal Reserve Bank has a nine-member board of directors. Three members represent commercial banks, three represent the public, and three are appointed by the Federal Reserve Board of Governors in Washington, D.C. Hyder was elected by banks as a Class B director.
Hyder succeeds Robert A. Estrada, ’83, managing director and COO of Estrada Hinojosa & Co. Inc., an investment banking firm.
