Christopher Roberts

Christopher Roberts oversees the law school’s strategic messaging, branding, and communications. He joined Texas Law in the fall of 2014, relocating to Austin from New York, where he was previously an independent film and theater producer. His feature films won 17 major film festival awards, including two Sundance Film Festival Grand Jury Prizes. From 2021-22, he served as the Chief Communications Officer for UCLA School of Law before returning to The University of Texas. He is a graduate of Wesleyan University with a B.A. in History.
Wendy Schneider
Associate Director of Communications

Wendy joined the law school communications team as Brand and Marketing Manager for Alumni Relations & Development in the spring of 2020 and served as the Interim Director of Communications for the Law School in April-May of 2021 and again in January-June 2022. She became part of the UT Austin community as a senior graphic designer for Document Solutions. Prior to this role, she was the Manager of Communications and Marketing for Campus Health at Tulane University. Wendy is a New Orleans native with a B.A. in Mass Communication from Nicholls State University.
Jeremy Simon
Senior Writer
Jeremy Simon joined Texas Law in August 2023 after more than a decade on the Texas McCombs communications team, where he most recently focused on promoting faculty research and expertise. Among his other roles before coming to UT, he wrote about equities markets in New York City and after moving to Austin was an editorial intern at Texas Monthly magazine. He is a graduate of Vassar College with a B.A. in English.
Deb Freeman
Newsletter Manager for Communications

Deb manages the internal and external newsletters for Texas Law. Previously, she was the Assistant Director for Communications for the law school’s Career Services Office. Prior to joining Texas Law, she was an award-winning publications editor and website manager for the Texas Film Commission and Texas Music Office. The 1997 edition of the Texas Music Industry Directory she edited is housed in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Library & Archives. Deb is a Fort Worth native with a B.A. in Sociology from The University of Texas at Austin.
